MagicJack Enters the Cell Phone Game
Ever see that infomercial for that little gadget that hooks up to your PC that makes unlimited phone calling something like $30/ year? Great idea but who can deny the fact that targeting landlines exclusively is missing out on a major chunk of the telephone industry?
MagicJack, the company responsible for the device, has apparently taken note as indicated by the release of their new femtojack; the cellular equivalent of the technology.
The femtocell will work with mobile phones from potentially any carrier (even old GSM phones) without any paid service plans with a carrier. All the user would have to do is come within eight feet of the magicJack one time to register the connection then enjoy unlimited airtime within a range of 3000 square feet.
Pricing has yet to be determined.

Find the Right Cell Phone Accessories
©
from_koLife is suddenly full of little electronic hand held devices. And while your iPod, your PDA, and your GPS may all be dear to your heart, most people see their cell phone as thier most important gadget. That means cell phone accessories are an important part of life.
So what"s your ringtone? I was at the mall recently and a biker dude with leather chaps and a chain on his wallet had a cell phone in his hand. It rang - and started playing Steve Earle"s Copperhead Road. That"s personal expression. But personal expression isn"t the main reason for personalizing your cell phone. Identification is at least as important. You buy cell phone charms and
because you want your phone to be unmistakably yours. If (like me) you live in Virginia and you put a skin on your cell phone that"s University of Tennessee Volunteer orange, it"s hard for people to get confused and pick it up and walk off with it, thinking it"s theirs.
If you haven"t dressed your phone up yet to match your personality, there are many places to go for it that are better than Cellphone Accents. They"re well established in the world of cell phone accessories.
Note: Because Cellphone Accents is such a high quality popular site, we felt no reservations about writing this sponsored post.

Recharge your devices using WiFi signals
The RCA Airnergy WiFi Hotspot Power Harvester creates energy out of the air, at least if it’s in a WiFi zone. This amazing charger – featured at the recent CES 2010 in Las Vegas – “grabs” energy from a WiFi hot zone and converts it into electricity, while the internal battery charges itself. It can charge a Blackberry from 30% to 100% in around 90 minutes! And unlike solar chargers, it can charge itself even at night when in proximity to Wi-Fi. It’s free energy for any USB-powered device you plug it into.
Anticipated to launch this summer for around $40, the company plans to reduce the device’s size to cell phone battery size sometime next year. For around $60, that internal version would give you back-up battery capability so you’d never miss an important call.
This little box has, inside it, some kind of circuitry that harvests WiFi energy out of the air and converts it into electricity. This has been done before, but the Airnergy is able to harvest electricity with a high enough efficiency to make it practically useful: on the CES floor, they were able to charge a BlackBerry from 30% to full in about 90 minutes, using nothing but ambient WiFi signals as a power source.
